February is usually one of the coldest months in northern Michigan but every couple years we have a brief warm up. When I say warm up I mean 40's and 50's. Most welcome the uptick in temperature and try to get outdoors and enjoy it. This was the case when I made this image. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a favorite among visitors and locals alike so when it warms up people flock to the lakeshore. his was taken at the Platte River where in runs in to Lake Michigan in Platte Bay. I took the image shooting through the calm water to get the texture and leading lines of the sand. The sunset coropperated and thie image turned out great!
