One thing as photographers that we should always have, is a project. Some projects can take weeks, months, or years. What subject(s) you choose for a project is all up to you. It could be a style that you have never tried, or something that is uncomfortable for you. It could be an assigned project. Like in my case, it could be something that you want to improve on. My project has been bird photography. Let me tell you, I have a new respect for bird photographers. It's not an easy task. I am getting better but I am still practicing getting the in-flight images.
Photography Projects in my opinion are important for every photographer. It motivates us to pick up the camera everyday. It keeps our skills sharp and our body of work ever expanding. Pick a project you enjoy, research it, practice it, and eventually master it. Then you will have another tool in your photography tool box.
This weeks post image of the winter cardinal was taken at my home in Michigan during afternoon snowfall. I used my 70-200 with a 1.4 extender.
